To do this you’ll be taking an essential role in helping us better understand our partners and users so that we can prevent unacceptable behaviour in the workplace and across education.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff (CoS) you will be responsible for ensuring that our CEO is fully supported, be confident to work independently and have the flexibility to respond in a fast paced growing start-up. Working together with the Chief of Staff to pre-empt requirements and ensure that all operational requirements are in place, you will use your own initiative to prioritise and manage tasks and will have the opportunity to get involved in projects across the whole business.
Alongside this, you will have ownership for the smooth running of our Manchester office. Ensuring that it is not only a well run and functional office, but an engaging and welcoming space for our employees and guests to collaborate.
Duties will include:
- Oversee the smooth running of the office, acting as a first point of contact for employees and visitors.
Organise employee engagement activities such as weekly breakfasts, weekly drinks and ad hoc events such as quizzes. Taking inspiration from the wider team and responding to feedback and ideas.
Schedule and maintain any ongoing requirements for the office linked to safety and security, ensuring that any requirements for audits and certifications are maintained.
Create positive relationships with suppliers and ensure that they meet high standards for quality and security.
Responsibility for physical asset management for all office and employee assets ensuring that records are maintained and equipment is in good working order.
- Be the right hand of the CoS, ensuring that tactical work required to progress key strategic initiatives is organised and progressing to timeframes.
Handle all administrative tasks to keep the CEO’s day moving smoothly and efficiently, including calendar management, travel booking, and organising emails.
Prepare materials for meetings, and attend to take notes, and follow up with action items.
Be a central support for the wider leadership team, ensuring that processes and information are accessible and understood.
Support the CoS and wider business with operational activities.
Oversight and coordination of tender requirements, supporting the commercial team to ensure tenders are proactively planned and completed ahead of deadlines.
Provide support with Recruitment & Onboarding of new starters to the business, ensuring that all team members have a strong first experience of our culture and values.
Ownership of the travel management system, supporting queries and managing larger group and event bookings across the team.
- Previous experience in a similar role, knowledge of start-up environments a bonus
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Great organisation skills with the ability to manage own time and multitask.

Salary up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits and flexible working.
